Without a doubt, the hardest colour to photograph or describe is WHITE!
Shades of blue or red can be described with some degree of accuracy. White though is always perceived differently. How I ‘see’ a white is most likely going to be different to how YOU see a white, almost every time.
We have a variety of ‘whites’ in our range of fabric lamp shades and we try to keep our descriptions as correct as we can. ‘Linen’ is a soft, off-white, while ‘pearl white’ is a cooling, almost blue-tinged white. Well that’s how they look to me anyway!
Adding a fabric shade, especially one from the variety of whites available, is the simplest way to mellow a room and create a welcoming space. You really can’t go wrong, when it’s WHITE : )
